Over the next week i will be in transition to a new location. I will have several photos posted till the 9th of July and then my Co-Author, Jimmy Freeman, will be taking the blog over for a few days till i get settled. I will be able to post photos from my LGVX8600 Cam Phone but no big posts or photos from Flickr till i get settled and have internet service. So from July 9 till July 14, i will not be posting any big photos.

FlickR Stuff

I have been trying to get more and more of my photos on Flickr placed on the Google map that is provided. So far, i have gotten most all of my St Thomas, Duke University, Epcot and Universal Studios placed. I also have various other photos on a map from different sets. Another example would be the Baltimore Harbor pics that i took with my LGVX 8600 Cam Phone. It is a neat option to be able to do that. Feel free to go and look at some of them.

Enjoy!

Over the weekend...

We made a trip to Baltimore Maryland for a Cheering Contest. We have been doing lots of traveling as of late but now we will be home for a few months before out next trip. I took a bunch of pics with the cam phone and have loaded them on my Fickr page. We went to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore

We did a 4 ship tour, The U.S.S. Constellation, The USCGC Taney, Chesapeake Lightship, The USS Torsk (submarine) plus The Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse, and i have some pics of them. We went to the Baltimore Aquarium and it was AMAZING! I have been to several aquariums around the country and this one was the best. We ate at the Hardrock Cafe and went to several stores around the harbor. The city was very clean and i was really impressed with it. If you get a chance, go and see it for yourself!

My Family...

Well today at around 3.30pm my family arrived from Texas. They made the 1200+ mile drive in 2 days, starting out yesterday morning in Jasper Texas and staying last night 70 miles west of Atlanta Georgia. The got up early this morning to finish the drive to our house in Midlothian Virginia. I am really glad to see them as my grandfather and uncle has never seen our house here in Virginia.

I am leaving work tonight at 1.15am so I do not have to sleep all day tomorrow and we will be able to do a few things tomorrow. I hated to have to come to work tonight, but duty calls. I also took off Wednesday night to be able to spend more time with them. I am going to take my Uncle Terry to Washington DC on Tuesday as he has never been there, so that will be fun and will also be some great memories.

Private Submarines?

I would have to say that this hits the top in the luxury travel category! This to me is the epitome of decadence. Yes you too can have a private submarine to travel the Earth's Oceans undetected by foreign powers.

The Phoenix 1000 pictured here is at the top of my list to purchase after I make my first billion dollars!! I can t wait. It has about 5000 sq/ft of living space in it and can be custom designed to meet your every need! With a $78 million price tag, all but the uber-rich can purchase one of these.

God's Will...

This has been bothering me a lot lately. People always talk about God's Will. I know from my own life and that of 12-Setep you are supposed to submit to God's Will. How do you know what that is? Me, My Wife and Daughter have been together this coming December 5 years (married) we have been together a total of 7 this summer and have known for over 20 years. We went to the same high school.

Over the last 5 years, we have moved 5 times to different stated for her company. We always hoped that the "next" move would be the one that would bring us happiness. We moved from Houston to Austin, Then to Highlands Ranch Colorado. From there we moved to Gardner Massachusetts; she worked in Boston. From then we moved to Midlothian Virginia. We made up our minds to stay here until our daughter got out of high school. Now, with things so up in the air, we are perplexed.

We try to go to church and to follow God's Will, but it is hard. When we lived in Colorado, we were members of St Andrews United Methodist Church Were really in tune I think and we loved going to the church because of the worship and the church itself. It was very wonderful but like all things, we moved to Massachusetts and it was very hard to get back into church because of the size of the church there. We so longed for St. Andrews that we, I guess, missed out on a very small church that we could have helped bring life back into had we just given it a chance. For you see, St. Andrews set the bar very high.

Well, Midlothian in my mind has some very good churches. Some would I dare say compare to St. Andrew in my mind. They have lots to offer and have a very progressive message in tune with today. It has been hard for my wife as they are not St. Andrews. I hold no fault against her for this as I miss it also, but we have to move on.

When she accepted her promotions, was that the Will of God? We made friends in Colorado and in Massachusetts but we left them. Our lives a little better for knowing them and theirs also for knowing us. My brother whom I talk about a lot is a Man of God, a Preacher in the Methodist Church. Even though he is 10 years younger then me, I rely on his wisdom to help guide me and he is more than ready and willing to be up to the challenge when I ask. I know that I do not pray as often as I should and as for what His Will is and what we should do. It is a hard practice to get into and when you do it, if you stop it is really easy to no continue.

Are all of these trials and tribulations part of God's Will for us? And if so, what is His Will to be for us on the next leg of our journey? How do some of you deal with this subject? Or do you even think about it.

Our Morning Drive back East...

Here are a few sunrise pics that I took while we were driving threw Louisiana...
IT was a long 20 hour drive that was 1270 miles one-way. We made it fine as we left Texas at 3.30am and made it home in Virginia at 11.00pm

We had Sirius radio in our rental car(mini-van) and we listened to 1st wave(22) on the Sirius unit. It was great; not having to find a station every 100 miles. They played all 1980s bands and I did not hear on repeat song!! We all are very tired, but glad that we made the trip.

In my opinion, a death in a close family can bring out the best and worst in people. I just wish that when a death occurs, that the main focus would be on the families that are hurting and not a material possessions. That the focus would be to help and heal instead of being a vulture to pick over the remains. I have seen this happen many times in my 35+ years of living...

God Bless and Good Night.
