University and Nacogdoches city police are investigating the Thursday morning discovery of a dozen signs warning that students of Stephen F. Austin University would be killed in a mass shooting.
Authorities said the campus was locked down and law enforcement on the city, county, and state level were brought onto the campus where they remained throughout the day on Thursday.
University authorities said the signs were handwritten in pencil, and were found around the campus and at a university-owned apartment complex. Officials said the signs read: “A shooting will occur today and students will die,” and “10 people will be shot and killed at the Grove.” The Grove is a student apartment complex.
The university said classes were held as scheduled, and the students and staff were asked to report anything suspicious to police. |
This is really freaky, i went to SFA many years ago It looks like that police have a good handel on it and i hope that it was stopped before it was going to happen. We can not stand another tragic shooting at one of our Universities.
