Sitting 1.1

Sitting 1.1, originally uploaded by RMStringer.

She was sitting on the second landing and i got her attention. She looked at me and i was able to get a great shot of her. I live the sun in her face and the contrast between he and the carpet. She really is a fun cat to take pictures of.

Sitting 1.2

Sitting 1.2, originally uploaded by RMStringer.

She was sitting in the big picture window that we have on the second landing of the stairs in our home. I love the contrasting color of her with the glass and sunlight that is present in the window. I was able to get multiple shots in B/W using the 70-300mm lens and hood. Some were with flash, this was not.

9 WORDS WOMEN USE (and the true meaning)

9 WORDS WOMEN USE (and the true meaning)

(1)
Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument, when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2)
Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour.
Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3)
Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

(4)
Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Do Not Do It

(5)
Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6)
That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7)
Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome.   (I want to add - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - then it is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' .... that will bring on a 'whatever').

(8)
Whatever: Is a women's way of saying SCREW YOU!

(9)
Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

Tell Your Representatives to Stop Big Media

Dear Friend,

I just wrote my representatives in Congress, asking them to stand up for better media in America. There is a bill in the House right now that would protect journalism, diversity, and competition. The Senate just approved a companion bill with near-unanimous support -- a truly bipartisan effort.

On Dec. 18, 2007, the Federal Communications Commission voted on sweeping changes to media ownership rules. This is just the most recent in a long series of outrageous moves the FCC has made to avoid public scrutiny.

Congress has the power to throw out these rules -- and if hundreds of thousands of people demand it, they'll have to listen. Will you join me in this effort to stop further media consolidation?

I set up the camera shooting to the Southeastern sky.
