Bee Crop

Bee Crop, originally uploaded by RMStringer.

I took this when i lived in Midlothian Virginia. Great cropped photo.

I cropped the original photo to zoom onto the Be better. Here it is! The resolution is just amazing with my A200. No distortion from the original to the cropped photo. look at the clarity of the bee in contrast to the surroundings and notice you cannot see his wings frozen.

Forrest 1.2, originally uploaded by RMStringer.

Taken in the Angelina National Forrest off of HWY 63 West in 16:9 Aspect Ratio using the Sony 18-70mm Lens after about 3 inches of rain today. You can see the foliage starting to change.

It was raining while i was taking this photo. I have driven by this several times and wanted to take photos, today was the day. You can see Forrest Ferns and other foliage starting to change colors due to the Autumn Season approaching. It was very cool and wet with a temp of 56 DegF which is very cool for this early in the season in SE Texas.

Pictured in the center is Rattlesnake Island. Look at the waves, There was a strong North Wind blowing and rain as well. The temp was about 56 DegF, cool and blustery weather for Se Texas. I would not want to be out on the lake during this king of weather.

DSC06171: Work 2.4

DSC06171: Work 2.4, originally uploaded by RMStringer.

I think that this photo is perhaps even better than the Work 2.7 photo. The color and lighting is brilliant on this photo. The bright arc is not overpowering any of the photo and you can see the orange glow of the lights in the metal shot reflecting on the metal to the left of the weld. The orange glow on the inside of the pipe si from the hot metal penetrating the pipe and welding it together.

Exposure: 0.067 sec (1/15)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 60 mm
ISO Speed: 400

MIG Welding: A Close Up

MIG Welding: A Close Up, originally uploaded by RMStringer.

Where as this is not a "macro" photo, it is a close up photo of a craftsman using a MIG welding gun to finish fabricating the metal together. I love the little sparks flying all over the place and the smoke rising out from in between the two pieces of metal. The bright arc lights up the interior of the item so he can see what he is welding through his helmet. You can see marks and scars on the table from many years of work being done on it.

I like the reflection in the water of the trees and sky. We had over 5 inches of rain on Thursday and this water is some left over.

Sandy Creek Park located on Marvin Hancock Drive and stretching over to Main Street in Jasper Texas. Shot in 16:9 Aspect Ratio.

I love the contrast in the light and dark shadows in the photo. The sky was very blue with no clouds in the sky. It was sort of a hard photo to get in those conditions. The park is very nice looking and it was a pleasant day for a walk and some photo opportunities.

Black and Light; White and Shadow...

Sandy Creek Park located on Marvin Hancock Drive and stretching over to Main Street in Jasper Texas. Shot in 16:9 Aspect Ratio.

I was not sure that i wanted to post this photo. I did no post processing of it, only adjustments to the Sony a200. The contrast is really high between the light and shadows cast on the water by the trees.
