I took this when we entered the National Mall in DC on the 4th of July. It is a really old and neat car! I was able to get a side profile shot of the police helicopter as well.

I woke up this morning and look what i saw. I was amazed to find this Lilly blooming in my yard. We had a little rain yesterday, but not much. I guess what we did get made this bloom. I have a rose bush that is back in bloom as well. I wonder if all the dry weather has something to do with the blooms this summer.

This spider lives by our front door. I watched him last night repairing his web. I took a series of photos and then i decided to crop this one. I used a flash on this photo as it was near dark when i took the original photo.

I took all of these with my new lens. I was trying different settings on the lens and i also used a UV Filter on it as well. I used the zoom feature on the new lens to get this photo. I love the bright light catching her fur and her eyes with all of the gray around them. The brown floor and her shadow were caught well by the new lens. I also used a UV filter on this photo as well. Her paw by her face looks like she was about to clean herself.

I took all of these with my new lens. I was trying different settings on the lens and i also used a UV Filter on it as well. I just happened to see her laying on the floor in the sun and had my camera handy! She is very photogenic!

Today I turned 37! I had a very nice birthday party at work and then me and my wife went to Busch Gardens and rode roller coaster and watched a spectacular fireworks show that lasted for 10 minutes! I was very impressed!
Tomorrow for the 4th of July, we are going to Washington DC to watch the fireworks in the Nation’s Capital! They will be shot behind the Washington Monument! I will be bringing my camera and will be taking lots of photos!!
Have a happy July 4!

We had some storms that came through our area on Sunday. They went to the South of us and we only received a little bit of rain. As they were blowing through, this is a Sunset that i was able to catch with my new lens. I was inside the house and shooting through the windows to get this photo.

I took this on Sunday after i got my new lens. It is a beautiful bloom and i cant remember the name of it. I love the colors! So VIVID and Bright! Had i known what the lens was capable of i would have taken this much better. I was just blown away by the magnification and 180-300mm Macro Setting.

This was taken yesterday. It is a very late season rose. I do not understand why is bloomed as we have not had any rain for the last 2.5 months. It is really dry. I guess that is why it is very small in size although, the color is very nice. If you look at the top, you can see a fly and in the bottom, you can see the Chinese attack beetle.

This is the first photo that i took using the Opteka Timer Remote for my a200. There were clouds moving across the sky and it gave a neat effect.

About my 5th attempt to use the wired Opteka Timer Remote Control to do rotation of earth. I was able to get a little rotation and i will try more soon with longer times. I am not sure what the doted line is that goes along the picture as it might be a satellite or a plane, i am just not sure.
Exposure: 103 sec (103)
Aperture: f/3.5
Focal Length: 18 mm
ISO Speed: 200
I did a little DOF shot on this photo using the new lens with the UV Filter on it. This is a Butterfly Bush that is in my neighbor's yard. She was kind enough to let me have access to all of her flowers. I love the Bee in all of the set of photos.
Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/200)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 300 mm
ISO Speed: 100
I went over to a neighbor's yard because she is the only person that still have nice flowers blooming. I wanted to try out the new lens on the camera. WOW!! IS ALL I CAN SAY! The Macro function that operates between 180-300mm is AMAZING! I was standing about 2.5-3 feet away from this flower!! I was not expecting results like this. I am also using a UV Filter on the lens as well.
