Last Snow 1.6
Taken With the Minolta 35-105mm f/3.54.5 Lens.
The Last Stand Of Winter...
I love how the snow is still present around the blooms and how it has some of them trapped underneath it. We got a little over 1 inch of snow last night. This is Winters last stand in our area. We have had some nice weather over the last few weeks...

Bloom 1.0
Taken With The Minolta 35-105mm f/3.5-4.5 Lens.
I am not sure what kind of tree that this came from.
I saw this bloom on a tree as i was driving around O Fallon yesterday morning. I turned my truck around to go and look. This is what i saw...
I love the flower against the sky with the limbs framing it and how the sun illuminates the bloom dramatically against it.

Light Experiment 1.0
Taken With The Minolta 35-105mm f/3.5-4.5 Lens.
I took this today of the Netgear Router and the Thermometer silhouetted be the ambient light from the blinds. I think that it makes a dramatic photo. The way the blinds reflect on the router and the way they are bent from being view through the glass and liquid. I wanted them to be very sharp so i used good f/stop number to get the desired Depth Of Field for the photo.
Exposure: 0.125 sec (1/8)
Aperture: f/9.0

Light Experiment 1.1
Taken With The Minolta 35-105mm f/3.5-4.5 Lens.
I have taken this photo before several times. I love the way the light spills through the blinded window and the dark negative space to the left of the lava lamp. I used a high f/stop number to get the sharpness that i desired for the Depth Of Field in this photo as well. Some people do not like the pole in the photo but i do as i think it helps break the photo up. The ambient light is very soft coming through the lamp.
Exposure: 0.1 sec (1/10)

DSC08587
This is just a strange assortment of stainless steel items that i have collected over the years. The round pieces are from different size "ball valves". The curly piece is from a pump that broke at a place i worked at many years ago and the other straight rod i got on a job years ago. I used the built in flash for this photo and my 70-300mm lens.

Wall and Bucket
I found this wall with a bucket sitting in front of it. I wondered what was in the bucket after all this time of just sitting there. The aqua paint on the brick wall is starting to come off and expose the red brick color of it. I wonder what this space was used for many years ago...

Always Working...
I took this last week using the Minolta 50mm f/1.7 Prime lens.I has a very shallow Depth Of Field as i used the lens wide open. The light is bright but not blown out. The Bokeh in the background is very nice for a low light photo.

Burnt and Rusted
This was a strange angle to take this photo. I wanted to show some of the fire damage to the building and the damage that has happened to it. I used the F58AM flash and the 18-70mm lens to take this photo. It turned out nice as i got more of the building that i would have expected to. The 18-70 is a very sharp kit lens in the f/7-f/11 range which is where i took this photo in.

Mother Drinking...
One in the set taken on the Scott Troy Highway on Saturday Afternoon. I used the Quantaray 70-300mm lens that i own for this set as i was a ways away from the sheep. I love how the little one is looking right at me while i was taking the photo. The lens is really not bad at the f/stop that i am using and it is actually very sharp in this range.
Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/200)
