Billy Purgatory: I am the Devil Bird

back again soon!

Latest

Billy Purgatory: I am the Devil Bird

This is the first book by Author and my friend Jesse James Freeman.
Jesse’s current projects all started out as comic book ideas, but he can’t draw – so…
Jesse used to live in Santa Monica, CA, but is back in his homeland of Surface Of The Sun, TX where it is 1 Million degrees in the shade currently.  He lovingly refers to his homeplace as Atlantis Ranch.  It is haunted by the ghost of LBJ.
Jesse has three dogs:  Rocket, Blackfoot Zanzibar and Zoe (guess which one he didn’t name).
Jesse hangs out on Twitter ( @JesseJFreeman)where he drinks and comments sarcastically about writer’ish things on #pubwrite.  He is the co-creator of the #TequilaAndCostco hashtag (TM).
Jesse is a huge nerd and can tell you anything you want to know about Fringe, H.P. Lovecraft, or the uncaring elder god Crom.

This is his book:
Billy Purgatory happens to be the most badass skateboarder and sweet talker any broad can meet–even at the age of ten. He is also the target of supernatural forces he can’t understand, and doesn’t want to.
Billy just can’t seem to avoid all things Monster. Growing up, he encounters Devil Birds, gypsies, Time Zombies and vampires (and not the kind you want to bring home to your Pop, either). He tries to convince himself they’re not real by joining the army, fixes cars and even goes to Vegas. But whenever Billy thinks he’s put it all behind him, a monster shows up, and it’s usually in the form of the beautiful Anastasia…
The book can be purchased at Amazon.com and here is the link:

Fire Ball!!! BOOM!!!

Fire Ball!!! BOOM!!!, originally uploaded by RMStringer.

An old one but a good one!!!

11.14.2008
TO me; it is no wonder that the a200 won an award. "Digital Photo Magazine....
Alpha A200 was named by the magazine as Best Entry Level DSLR for 2008" This photo just shows what it can do!!

I went with my friends to the shooting range today. They brought all their weapons with them and were ready to shoot some stuff up. I once again got to shoot most if not all of the guns and like last time, got to document all of this all the while trying to catch the elusive muzzle flash. It is much harder then one might think even with a fast camera, timing is EVERYTHING!

After about 400 photos and 10 different guns, i hit PAY DIRT!! It was just perfect! Look at the flash!! A ball of FIRE out of his 1954 Czechoslovakian made pistol shooting 7.62x25 cartridges. I got many photos with smoke and i saw many flashes but this is the ONLY fireball that was caught!!

The range was way out in Goochland County north of I64 West. I have to thank my friends for all their time and letting me shoot with them, expecting nothing in return but my time and fun. They will be missed dearly when i move in another month...
