The Photographer's Ephemeris (TPE)

Very cool app for Windows and iPhone, Droid soon!

http://photoephemeris.com/

This is perfect for quickly finding that particular alignment you need for your shot, especially for the moon for which rise/set directions are far less intuitive. In addition to the sun, you can search for either new moon or full moon. This is one of the new features in the latest release of TPE for iPhone (v1.1):

- Visual sun search: find sunrise/set at a specified bearing
- Visual moon search: find full or new moonrise/set at a specified bearing
- Page descriptions: popup page description added to aid navigation through the app
- High resolution images for iPhone 4 and updated icons

The Photographer's Ephemeris (TPE) is a tool to help with the planning of all types of outdoor photography, but particularly landscape and urban scenes.

It is a map-centric sun and moon calculator: see how the light will fall on the land.

TPE's map-based approach means you are not limited to a predefined list of locations, which often don't include the places many photographers go. Instead, search for any place name on the planet or position the map pin exactly where you want it.

Advanced features including automatic time zone and elevation detection, correction for atmospheric refraction and height above the horizon, ensuring that you have the best possible information for planning your shoot.

You can even determine when the sun or moon will be visible behind nearby hills and mountains.

America No More...

Since the current administration took office, America has suffered more than in the past 20 years. Perhaps the slide started before the current admin, only after many, many years, will the truth surface. We keep losing jobs every month and with “Health Care” being forced down our persons, I am afraid that much more hard times are on the horizon.

When it becomes illegal to not have health insurance and when independent little companies can’t afford to have health care that are hanging by a thread, Look out for massive closing and much more harsh economic time to befall this once great nation. How can this be stopped?

When a skilled worker can’t get a job for little over minimum wage, companies are taking advantage of the bad economic times and placing the burden on the backs of the workers by paying substandard wages.  He who gets the lowest bid makes the most money.  When a tax is placed on sell a home under the guise of “Health Care” What else is in the bill?

America is fundamentally flawed and it has gone too far to be brought back to its once great time and place that it had.  No lows can be passed or no political party can save us from the impending destruction and ultimate corruption that has befallen our once great country. Nothing short of a revolution or the splitting of the country into smaller independent locals, will we ever fully recover , if it is even possible…
